Scholastic Half Price Book Fair
You are invited to join us for our half price Book Fair which will take place every evening after school from the 18th March to 24th March. There are over 100 titles for you and your child to browse through with prices starting at £1.49. Don’t forget children are able to use their
£1 World Book Day Voucher towards the cost. Please do come and have a look.
Parent / Teacher Meetings
These will take place on 23rd and 24th March after school until 6 p.m. You will by now have received a letter to book an appointment.
4M Class Teacher
We are delighted to inform you that Miss Jess Flatt will be teaching 4M for the Summer term. Miss Flatt has taught 4M previously and therefore the transition will run smoothly.
Y6 Visit to Redgrave & Lopham Fen
Year 6 are this week visiting Redgrave & Lopham Fen to study the River Waveney.
Singing Group
The singing group will be visiting The Denny Centre on Friday morning. If you are able to help walk the children to the Centre and back please let the office know.
Captain Splosh
Anglian Water and Captain Splosh will be visiting Year 6 next Thursday, 25th March.
Their campaign is aimed at encouraging everyone to take a fresh
look at water, promoting the benefits of drinking tap water.
They will be parking a large vehicle on the car park which will drive
down The Entry at approximately 8 a.m. and out again at 4 p.m.
We ask for your cooperation and patience if you are in The Entry
at these times.
Y4 Easter Play – ‘Amazing Love’
The Year 4 children are working hard rehearsing for their Easter play entitled ‘Amazing Love’. This performance will be on Tuesday 30th March at 10 a.m. You are invited to join us on that day.
Church Service
You are invited to join us in St Mary’s Church on Thursday 1st April at 9.15 a.m. for our Easter celebrations.
Outstanding money for school visits
If you have not already done so please could you send money in for the visits to:-
Hilltops (instalment now overdue for 2nd March, next one due 30th March);
Holt Hall (instalment now overdue for 25th February, the final payment will be due 25th March)
For security reasons whenever possible please pay by cheque (made payable to Diss Church Junior School). If you need to pay cash please take it with the form to the school office .

The next PTA meeting will be on Wednesday 24th March at 1.30 pm. All welcome.
