Year 6 Letter Writing

Year 6 have been writing letters to Diss Town Council complaining about the lack of leisure facilities for older children . Look out for articles in the Diss Express and The Mercury outlining their thoughts.

Cheerleading

There are still places available on the Dance and Cheerleading course. Please send in the form and payment by tomorrow (Friday) morning.

The Great British Elm Experiment

The Gardening Club have taken delivery of an Elm tree sapling to plant in the school grounds. This is part of the The Great British Elm Experiment. This is national project to study the trees growth and survival in different parts of the country. Thank you to Mrs Key for arranging the planting.

Parent / Teacher Meetings

These will take place on 23rd and 24th March after school until 6 p.m. More details to follow.

Vouchers

We are once again collecting vouchers from Tesco, Sainsbury, Nestle and Flora. Please ask your family and friends to save these for the school.

World Book Day / Scholastic Book Fair

Last week your child should have brought home a £1 book voucher. This can be redeemed at all participating bookshops. They can also be redeemed against the cost of books at our Book Fair which will take place from the 17th March.

Outstanding money for school visits

If you have not already done so please could you send money in for the visits to:-

Hilltops (instalment now overdue for 2nd March, next one due 30th March);

Holt Hall (instalment now overdue for 25th February, the final payment will be due 25th March)

For security reasons whenever possible please pay by cheque (made payable to Diss Church Junior School). If you need to pay cash please take it with the form to the school office .

The next PTA meeting will be on Wednesday 24th March at 1.30 pm. All welcome.
