World Book Day / Scholastic Book Fair
Today is World Book Day. Your child should bring home a £1 voucher with this letter. This can be redeemed at all participating bookshops. They can also be redeemed against the cost of books at our Book Fair which will take place from the 17th March.
Year 3 Trip
Thank you to Miss White, Mrs Ridgway and all the staff who went to West Stow yesterday. The children were fantastic and it was a great day out.
Links with France
Thank you to Mrs Brett who organized a link with a French school. Madame Viven has just spent a week at our school. The children learnt lots about schools in France and 6B are corresponding with pupils in Toulouse.
Outstanding money for school visits
If you have not already done so please could you send money in for the visits to:-
Hilltops (instalment now overdue for 2nd March, next one due 30th March);
Holt Hall (instalment now overdue for 25th February, the final payment will be due 25th March)
For security reasons whenever possible please pay by cheque (made payable to Diss Church Junior School). If you need to pay cash please take it with the form to the school office .
Cleaning
A big well done to Mrs Wilby and her cleaning crew. The school was inspected last week and they were given a big thumbs up. The inspector could not find one fault!
Lost Property
The lost property has been displayed in the hall for a week and the clothes that were left have now been bagged and put in the clothes recycling container. Please write your child’s name clearly on all their property.
Maths Workshop
The Division workshop was a success. There was a good group of people sharing their ideas. Thank you to Miss Hogg
