Letter from Miss Martin (Acting Head)
21st April 2010
Dear Parents / Guardians
Following yesterday’s letter I am writing to introduce myself as the new Acting Headteacher. I will be working closely with Mrs Bygrave and all the staff to ensure the school continues to move forward. I will be in school every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Mrs Bygrave will be Acting Head on Thursday and Friday.
As you can see from the diary dates there are a wealth of opportunities available to you and the children, so it should prove to be an interesting and exciting term.
We welcome any parents who wish to help out in school, be it listening to readers, supporting children / teachers with practical activities or general display of communal areas. If you are able to help in any way please let a member of the office staff know.
A reminder that if you have any concerns or issues, these should initially be addressed with the class teacher. If further discussion is required then Mrs Bygrave will meet with you. Any unresolved matters will then be referred to me and failing a satisfactory outcome you can make representation to the Governors. We are here to support your child in the best way possible so we aim to intervene early to resolve any difficulties.
We are reducing our newsletter to one a fortnight to improve our paper trail, but will try to ensure you have all necessary information.
I look forward to getting to know you and the children and enjoying a fun packed term.
Regards
Miss N Martin
Acting Head
