Dear Parent/Carer

You should have received a letter introducing our new online mathematics resource mymaths.co.uk.  This is a resource that we are able to manage in school and children are able to access at home, to support their learning. 

Homework activities can be set by the class teacher, completed by the pupils and then their progress reviewed back in school.  Tasks can be tailored to suit the needs of pupils and linked with areas studied in class. 

In addition to homework tasks, children can also independently access a range of activities in order to develop their confidence in a particular area.  Please encourage them to do this.

We recommend that you keep a record of your child’s password as it is unique to them.  They will also need to log on weekly to check on tasks set.  Once tasks are completed, please remind them to ‘checkout’ in order to save their scores.

Children are able to use pencil and paper to support their working.

As this is new, we apologise in advance for any ‘teething problems’ that may be experienced.  We do appreciate your feedback, whether positive or negative, so please let us know how you are finding things.

We also appreciate that not all pupils have access to the internet on a regular basis.  Please let us know if this is an issue for you, as we may be able to make our ICT Suite available.
